The Cabin
Architecturally designed to sit quietly within its surroundings, the cabin brings together natural materials and thoughtful details for a stay that feels a little bit special.
Timber, natural finishes, flax linen and wool feature throughout, while large windows make the most of the changing light across the Taieri and beyond.
Inside the cabin is a beautiful king bed, generous double shower, wood fire and a kitchen with everything you need.
The Ridge House runs entirely on solar power and rainwater.
It’s properly off-grid, without asking you to give up the good stuff.
The Experience
The wood-fired cedar sauna and Stoked outdoor bath are yours for the duration of your stay. Heat the sauna, brave the plunge bucket, then wrap up in a wool blanket and find a spot on the deck.
The choice is yours - cook outside on the Weber, stay in beside the fire or head into Dunedin for dinner and be back at The Ridge House 25 minutes later.
Set on a working sheep and beef farm, there’s always something happening beyond the windows. Animals move through the paddocks, native birds are regular visitors and, if you’re lucky, you might spot a deer or wild pig further out.
